Registration

All conference registrations and reservations must be completed using the online form provided below. Please note that your registration will only be confirmed once the full registration fee has been received, either by bank transfer or credit card. Full terms and conditions below.

Optional items such as field trips, accompanying person passes, training courses, and the conference gala dinner may be booked and paid for separately, including after the registration fee has been settled. However, these reservations will only be confirmed once payment has been received.

Registration fee for in‑person participation includes:

  • Access to all conference sessions
  • Electronic conference materials (including the Book of Abstracts)
  • Coffee break refreshments
  • Lunches
  • Admission to the Welcome Reception on Monday, 21 September 2026


Not included in the conference fee:

  • Travel and accommodation expenses
  • Travel insurance

Please note that participation in this conference is at your own expense and risk.

Registration fee for online (remote) participation includes:


  • Live streaming of all plenary sessions
  • Live streaming of selected parallel sessions throughout the conference
  • Live streaming of the Welcome and Closing Ceremonies
  • Access to electronic posters
  • Electronic conference materials (Book of Abstracts, Programme Book)


Registration fee for accompanying persons includes:


  • Admission to the Welcome Reception on Monday 21 September 2026
  • Lunches
  • The option to purchase tickets for field excursions or the conference gala dinner

Accompanying persons do not have access to parallel sessions. They may join registered participants on field excursions and at the conference dinner by purchasing the appropriate ticket. If an accompanying person has dietary requirements, please include this information in the notes section of the registration form.

Terms and conditions of Registration and Attendance

(Applies to all in‑person and online participants)

1. Registration & Payment

  • Registration is confirmed only once full payment has been received.
  • The organisers reserve the right to refuse or revoke attendance for breach of these Terms & Conditions.


2. Event Format

  • The conference will be delivered as a hybrid event, combining in‑person sessions in Bristol with online participation.
  • Online access links are personal and must not be shared.
  • The organisers may modify the programme, speakers, or schedule without prior notice.


3. Media, Photography & Recording Consent

  • Photography, filming, audio recording, and live streaming will take place throughout the event.
  • By attending (in person or online), you consent to the use of your image, voice, and contributions in promotional materials, publications, social media, and future IENE communications.
  • This consent is perpetual, royalty‑free, worldwide, and irrevocable.
  • Online attendees acknowledge that their name, video feed, or chat contributions may be visible to others and may appear in recordings.


4. Data Protection & Privacy

  • Personal data is collected for registration, communication, event access, and analytics.
  • Data may be shared with service providers supporting event delivery.
  • Marketing communications will only be sent with explicit opt‑in consent.
  • Data will be processed in accordance with UK GDPR.
  • Attendees may request access, correction, or deletion of their data.


5. Code of Conduct

  • All attendees must behave respectfully toward participants, speakers, staff, and volunteers.
  • Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated.
  • The organisers may remove individuals who violate the Code of Conduct without refund.


6. Health, Safety & Accessibility

  • Attendees must follow all venue safety instructions.
  • Accessibility needs should be communicated in advance so reasonable adjustments can be made.
  • The organisers are not responsible for personal medical conditions, allergies, or dietary requirements.


7. Liability

  • Attendance is at your own risk.
  • The organisers are not liable for personal injury, illness, loss, theft, or damage to personal property, except where required by law.
  • Online participation may be affected by technical issues outside the organisers’ control.


8. Intellectual Property

  • All presentations, recordings, and materials remain the property of the organisers or the respective authors.
  • Redistribution, recording, or reproduction of content without permission is prohibited.


9. Cancellation & Changes

  • The organisers may alter the programme at any time.
  • If the event is cancelled, attendees will be offered a refund or transfer.
  • If the event is moved fully online, refunds will not be issued unless required by law.
  • Any refund or alteration of your registration must be sent in writing (by e-mail to IENE2024@nature.cz) and will be subject to the following conditions:


Refund request

  • Until August 15, 2026: refund of fee minus GBP 40 administrative charge.
  • After August 15, 2026: no refund.


Name Change

  • Until August 15, 2026: each name change will be charged GBP 8.
  • After August 15, 2026: each name change will be charged GBP 12.

All refunds will be processed after the IENE 2026 conference.


10. Acceptance

By registering for the IENE 2026 Conference, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
